Our marriage affects all of our other relationships. God created marriage as a foundation for human civilization, and our relationships with family members, friends, co-workers, and others would not exist without the institution of marriage. Yet we are not born husbands and wives. God made Adam and Eve male and female with the potential to become husband and wife.

It is unrealistic to expect marriage to thrive without first teaching men and women how to become good marriage partners. In Love Captivated, husband-and-wife team Frantz and Djenny Lamour help us learn biblical principles that reveal God’s definition of husband and wife. God provides everything we need to have marriages that please Him in the way we relate to one another. He gives us Jesus as our perfect role model, the Holy Spirit as our power, and the Bible as our marriage manual. Marriage is designed to be a reflection of our relationship with God. And a loving, healthy biblical marriage will improve all of our other relationships.

Author Bios

Frantz and Djenny Lamour are co-founders of Holy Church of Grace and Frantz Lamour Ministries Inc., an advocate for teaching biblical principles to couples to help them build healthy marriages. Djenny graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA in elementary education and is now an elementary school teacher. Frantz holds a BA in pastoral ministries from Hobe Sound Bible College and is pursuing a graduate degree in counseling. His other books include The Lord’s Prayer: An Undiscovered Treasure, A Dream Marriage, and Thank God for Sex. Frantz and Djenny reside in Royal Palm Beach, Florida with their three daughters.
